About Chuck’s

I worked at a dog daycare during my last two years of college, and from my very first day I knew this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I loved being surrounded by dogs of every breed and personality, and there’s nothing quite like the joy of spending your day with animals who live simply to love and be loved.

After spending 12 years in the energy industry and the demanding schedule that came with it, I experienced firsthand how stressful it can be to leave my own dog, Chuck, in someone else’s care. As a rescue, he struggled with separation anxiety, and I often worried he might feel like he was being abandoned all over again if I left him in the wrong environment.

These experiences shaped my vision for Chuck’s. My goal has always been to create a safe, welcoming place where every dog feels secure, loved, and truly cared for by the people watching over them.

Much of the facility’s design was inspired by Chuck himself, who is now a senior pup. While we welcome dogs of all ages and energy levels, special care has been taken to make this facility especially comfortable for senior and low-energy companions. The building has no steps—only ramps, and no slick floors. Our indoor play and boarding areas feature Pad N Pour flooring, while the outdoor yard is equipped with soft, artificial pet turf. Both surfaces provide stability and comfort—perfect for running, playing, or lounging with the daycare/boarding attendants.

Kennels are only used for meals and sleeping. For boarding, we maintain a calm and secure environment, and either myself or a member of management is always on-site overnight. Cageless boarding is available when appropriate, at no additional cost, with some dogs sleepingin the same room as the overnight attendant.

At the heart of Chuck’s is a simple promise: every dog will be treated like family.
